Washington, DC -- Today, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) voted to pass the CASH Act, to ensure Americans receive $2,000 in the next round of stimulus payments in the wake of the impact of COVID-19.

“The House took an important first step to help Americans get some of the desperately needed support they deserve,” said Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton. “I’ve been advocating for greater direct relief payments for families in need for months, and I’m hopeful that the momentum behind this bipartisan effort between House Democrats and President Trump gets it through the Senate. It’s been 8 months since Americans last received a stimulus check and $600 is embarrassingly low for this next round.”
