Wexton Statement on Unnecessary Delays in Disbursement of Stimulus Checks
Sterling,
April 15, 2020
In response to reports that the Treasury Department has ordered President Trump’s name be printed on stimulus checks being mailed across the country, potentially delaying the process by several days, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) released the following statement: “Unnecessarily postponing the disbursement of stimulus checks to feed the president’s ego or for political gain shows a callous disregard for the dire circumstances Americans find themselves in. Families are depending on these checks and they need to get in their hands without delay.” ### |
