Wexton Named to House Appropriations Committee Subcommittees

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) announced her selection to serve on the House Appropriations Committee Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee and Legislative Branch Subcommittee.

“I’m honored to be selected once again to serve on the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and the Legislative Branch Subcommittees. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to craft our appropriations legislation,” said Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton. “These two subcommittees cover key priorities for our community: investing in restoring our infrastructure and building on the progress of our once-in-a-generation Bipartisan Infrastructure Law; and supporting our Capitol law enforcement and security of the seat of our democracy. I’m eager to get back to work on the THUD and Legislative Branch subcommittees to continue delivering for Virginia as a member of the House Appropriations Committee.”

Wexton served on both subcommittees in the previous Congress, where she successfully worked to deliver funding for safety and congestion improvement projects on local roadways and robust support for Metro, as well as supported the federal workforce who are essential to the functions of the legislative branch and secured funding to establish a new mental health and wellness center for the U.S. Capitol Police.
